Dungeons & Lasers is Aiming to be a Modular 3D Battle Map for Your RPG Needs
It’s always fun to have a battle map for your tabletop RPG. It really brings things to life for more visual fun and it can be helpful for the DM and players as they have a visual reference of where things are. This helps understand range for attacks, spells, and movement. One problem is that it can be hard to understand where everything is on the z-axis. It can still be hard to keep track of walls/columns at times or even if you’re in an area that has an upstairs and a downstairs. Enter Dungeons & Lasers…eventually.
Dungeons & Lasers are getting ready to launch a Kickstarter campaign that brings fans plastic sets for building rooms. The pieces are also designed to be able to stack on each other to create new dimensions for your battle maps. The greatest thing is that there are sets designed for a fantasy setting and there’s another set designed to give you a sci-fi feel.
In addition to building walls and floors though, Dungeons & Lasers plans to provide customization bits like weapon racks and treasure chests, stairs, and even companions like a dog wielding a sword. All in all, this sounds great, but unfortunately, they haven’t launched their Kickstarter yet so there’s no way to see how much these cost yet. However, if you head over to their website, you can join their mailing list to be the first to know.
