DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES Comic-Con Poster Included Art From Wrong Role Playing Game

One of the coolest things about being at San Diego Comic-con is the access to exclusives only found here. Rarely do you find exclusives that need to be pulled due to a content or brand mistake. Well, guess what? Chicken butt! Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has had to stop giving out their posters here due to a non-D&D elemnt making it onto the promotion.

As one eagle eyed twitter user recognized that an image of one of the monsters used in the poster is a blatant copy of art used in the role-playing game Pathfinder. Check out the post:

Now, before everyone freaks out and says that the Intellect Devourer also exists in the D&D world, that is not what is being said. The issue is the art on the poster is a direct ripoff of art used in the Pathfinder Beastiary by artist Paizo.

The D&D booth had to stop giving out this poster due to the issue. I was lucky enough to get one. This is going to ruffle some feathers, and rightfully so. These things go through many hands before they come to pass and it is astonishing that this mistake was able to make it through.

On a positive note, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves looks like a super entertaining movie and I cannot wait till it hits theaters on March 3rd, 2023.
