DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES Directors Say Sequels Can Go "So Many Places"

I’m pretty excited about the upcoming film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and I hope that it ends up being a good movie! With Dungeons & Dragons, there are so many different directions that the film franchise could go, really what the film needs is a great DM at the helm. If you have a great DM, you’ll have a great experience!

This movie will tell us if directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are good DMs or not. If they are, the movie will be a hit and they will get to continue making D&D sequels. When talking about the potential for any sequels, Goldstein teased that if they were able to make one, there are so many places that could go with it:

"We didn't plant any seeds. But if we're lucky enough to make another one, then I think there's so many places to go. We've created these great characters who we would love to see where they are in a year or two."

Daley added: "We're also very superstitious. So we don't like to talk about it.” But, he’s excited about watching this first film with an audience at SXSW: "I'm excited to be in the theater with people as they hopefully unanimously are shocked by it being a film that they did not expect,"

Goldstein added: "The scope of it, the adventure and action and also just that there's laugh out loud (moments) and there's emotion, I mean, people are really going to feel something at the end of this movie, I hope and think they won't expect that."

That’s good to hear! I have an idea of what I’m expecting from this movie, so if it ends up exceeding those expectations with things I didn’t see coming, that would be awesome!

In the film, “A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.”

The movie stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis , Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head, and Hugh Grant. It’s set to hit theaters on March 31st, 2023! Are you excited about watching this movie!?
