Yes, Dwayne Johnson has been in a lot of movies recently, and he will continue to be in a lot of movies. That being said, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was a huge success which of course means that it will be getting a sequel. In fact, Johnson took to Instagram recently to officially announce that they are working on the sequel and he even teases that he will kill off Kevin Hart’s character. He also makes sure to point out that Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle beat out Spider-man: Homecoming as Sony Pictures' biggest movie ever.
It's official: Last night you made JUMANJI, Sony's biggest movie ever. EVER. Previous record held by SpiderMan. My #1 goal is always giving the audience what they want and always sending ya home happy. Working on the sequel now, so bye bye @kevinhart4real's character. 😂🖕🏾 Love y'all 🤟🏾 and THANK YOU. #JUMANJI #SonysBiggestMovieEver #Grateful
Jake Kasdan will return to direct the film and Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg will return as writers. I can only imagine that Karen Gillan and Jack Black will return as well to star alongside Johnson and Hart. My question is, where will the third one take us?
