Dwayne Johnson Says His Character Hobbs Could Beat Deadpool in a Fight While Drunk

Dwayne Johnson always takes on larger than life characters in the films that he stars in, and right now all the hype is on his Fast and Furious character Hobbs because of his Hobbs & Shaw movie that came out this weekend. Then there’s Marvel, which is always being hyped, so it was only a matter of time before Johnson was asked who win a fight between one of his characters and a Marvel character.

During an interview with MTV, Johnson was asked who would win in a fight between Hobbs and Deadpool, there’s a reason he’s asked this question, and if you’ve seen the movie you know why. Anyway, this was Johnson’s response:

"Who would win in a fight between Deadpool and Hobbs? I would have to say, pre tequila, Deadpool. Hobbs drunk on tequila? I gotta give it to Hobbs. Well, you know, it might be Deadpool, too. Deadpool's a badass. The tequila is really the driving force, that's the thing. For me, at least."

Does tequila give Hobbs super powers or something? I’m sure Hobbs could kick the shit out of Deadpool, it’s not like Deadpool hasn’t has his ass kicked by someone before! He gets his ass kicked all the time, but no one can kill him.

Who do you think would win in a fight?

Johnson and Reynolds are set to star together in the upcoming Netflix action film Red Notice alongside Gal Gadot. So, that should be fun! if you haven’t seen Hobbs & Shaw yet, I’m diving into some spoiler territory.

The reason Deadpool was brought up in the interview was because Ryan Reynolds actually makes an appearance in Hobbs & Shaw, and it’s really fun to see these two guys play off of each other in the film. Reynolds plays one of Hobbs’s ex-partners, and it’s a pretty amusing chemistry that these characters have. It sounds like we’ll be seeing more of these characters in the future as well!
