EA Games and Marvel Are Developing an Open World BLACK PANTHER Video Game

Electronic Arts is working with Marvel on developing a new open world Black Panther video game. The news comes from Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb, who reports that the game will not feature the character T’Challa in the Vibranium suit. Instead, a new character will suit up and protect Wakanda following the death of the previous Black Panther.

There’s no word on who that Black Panther character will be, but I assume it will be whoever ends up as the new Black Panther in the movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. That information was not shared in the trailer.

EA’s new Seattle game studio is working on the project, which is being led by Kevin Stephens, who previously worked on Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. This will be a single-player focused game that is looking to build upon the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

There’s not much information to share right now, but the game is in early development, so don’t expect to play it anytime soon. It’ll be a few years.
