eBay Launches New Shipping Method for Trading Cards

There aren’t too many great places to go if you’re shopping online for trading cards. However, eBay recently announced a new way of shipping trading cards that should help the market there. Sadly, it won’t cut down on fraud and the like, but the new eBay Standard Envelope (eBS) may help draw more legitimate sellers to the site.

The eBS is a low cost shipping service that eBay now offers for trading cards priced $20 and below that way no more than 3 oz. You can print a label and mail off the package for less than $1 and you get tracking. I don’t know of any other shipping service that provides tracking and shipping for less than $1 so that’s pretty amazing. It also has shipping protection, so that buyers and sellers can rest easy. In a world where more and more people are going back to buying trading cards, this is very timely.

I do want to note that the cost does vary by weight, so that is something to be careful of. 1 oz costs $0.51, 2 oz costs $0.71, and 3 oz costs $0.91.
