Eddie Murphy Has an Idea For COMING TO AMERICA 3 That He Wants to Make When He's 75-Years-Old
Amazon recently released Coming 2 America and it ended up being a huge success. Audiences seemed to love it and it was the most-watched streaming movie on a given weekend during the pandemic.
Eddie Murphy recently appeared on Live! with Kelly and Ryan to talk about the film and also about what’s next for the franchise. Murphy believes there is more story to tell for these characters and he’s already working on Coming to America 3. But, he’s looking to wait until he’s 75-years-old to make it. He explained:
“There’s an idea for a Coming to America 3 that I have, but it doesn’t happen for 16 years. I have to be 75 to do it, and not make me up like 75 but really be 75.”
Well, it took 33 years to get a second to Coming To America, so I guess waiting 16 more years for the next sequel doesn’t seem too bad. Hopefully, Murphy gets the opportunity to make it!
