Actors Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything, The Day of the Jackal), Tessa Thompson (Creed, Thor: Ragnarok) and Patsy Ferran (Living, Mickey17) have signed on to star in a new film from writer and director Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) titled Later the War.
Kaufman adapted the script from the short story “Debby’s Dream House” by acclaimed author Iddo Gefen from his short story collection titled Jerusalem Beach.
The original short story follows a man who manufactures dreams for people but ultimately begins creating nightmares for them. Exact plot details of the feature adaptation are unknown.
Redmayne is coming off strong reviews in his Peacock series Day of the Jackal. The series also stars Lashana Lynch and earned Redmayne a Golden Globe and Critics Choice nomination. Thompson has a busy year ahead of her, including the Netflix series His & Hers and the feature Hedda.
Ferran can be seen next opposite Robert Pattinson in Mickey17 and was also seen on Broadway in A Streetcar Named Desire.
