Edgar Wright Praises Steven Spielberg's READY PLAYER ONE
I love the films of director Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim, Baby Driver) and the guy also has great taste in movies. For those of you who are also fans of the filmmaker, I thought you might be interested in knowing what he thought about Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One.
A lot of fans who have seen the film are raving about it and having seen it myself I echo all of the positive things that have been said about it. I loved this movie so much and I'll have a review up on the site before it's released in theaters. But, if you don't trust what everyone is saying about the movie, maybe you'll trust what Wright had to say:
Still processing the audio visual feast that is Spielberg’s ‘Ready Player One’. It has several scenes that confirm again him as the master of blocking action set pieces (big and small). And given this must have been a gargantuan VFX challenge it could really be called ‘The Post’.

I know how he feels. I haven't been able to get this film out of my head since I watched it. It's such a visual overload of greatness, but with Spielberg at the helm, everything turned out looking amazing. Like Wright says, Spielberg is the master of blocking. Just in case you don't know what blocking a scene is, it's simply working out the details of an actor's moves in relation to the camera.
I just can't wait for all of you to finally get to see Ready Player One. I think you're all going to have a blast! I just don't see how anyone can't while watching this movie!
