Edgar Wright's BABY DRIVER Looks Like a Rip–Roaring Good Time! Watch the Trailer Now!
The first full trailer for Edgar Wright's new film Baby Driver has been released and it looks like it's going to be a freakin' blast! I wouldn't expect anything less, from the director who brought us films such as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. This trailer explodes with energy and it's going to get Wright fans super excited to see the movie!
The film stars Ansel Elgort as a getaway driver who wants to leave his life of crime behind after falling for a girl who is being played by Lily James. What makes the character so interesting is the fact that he suffers from tinnitus and the “movie’s action is choreographed to the music he plays to drown out the ringing in his ears.” Wright previously talked about the film saying that the character listens to a wide range of diverse music during the film's chase sequences. He explained:
“I always wanted to do an action movie that was powered by music. It’s something that’s very much a part of my previous films and I thought of this idea of how to take that a stage further by having a character who listens to music the entire time. So, you have this young getaway driver who has to soundtrack his entire existence, particularly the bank robberies and fast getaways that come afterwards.”
As you'll see, the trailer teases some pretty kickass car chase sequences! The movie also has a wicked talented cast that includes Jamie Foxx, Elsa Gonzalez, Lily James, Jon Bernthal and Kevin Spacey. Here's the synopsis:
A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
Baby Diver is set to hit theaters this summer on August 11th. No watch the trailer!
