Edgar Wright's Upcoming Psychological Thriller LAST NIGHT IN SOHO Gets a Release Date!

Edgar Wright fans are excited to see what he’s cooking up for his next film Last Night in Soho. We don’t really know much about the film, all we really do know is that it’s been described as a psychological horror-thriller and it’s set in London’s Soho district. The film will also take place in the 1960s and modern day.

The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy (Split) who will play a character in the 1960s set part of the film and then there’s Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, who will star in the modern day scenes as a fashion student. We don’t know how these characters are connected or what the reason is behind the story being set in two different time periods.

When previously talking about the film, Edgar Wright described the film as being in the vein of Donald Sutherland’s 1973 film Don’t Look Now, and Roman Polanski’s 1965 movie Repulsion. He also went on to say:

“I realized I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years. With Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”

The film also has a great supporting cast that includes Matt Smith, Michael Ajao, Synnøve Karlsen, Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp, and Rita Tushingham.

As for the release date, Last Night in Soho will hit theaters on September 25, 2020.
