Edward Furlong Confirmed to Return as John Connor in TERMINATOR: DARK FATE
During the panel for Terminator: Dark Fate, producer James Cameron did a livestream from the set of the Avatar sequels to talk about the film a little bit. One of the major pieces of news he dropped during this livestream was that Edward Furlong was back to reprise his role as John Connor, which is something I totally wasn’t expecting!
Furlong coming back was a huge freakin’ surprise. Furlong has gone through some super rough times in his life. He’s hit rock bottom multiple times. His life hasn’t been easy. But regardless of that, it’s pretty amazing and so cool that Cameron and director Tim Miller brought him back! I’m sincerely happy and excited for him that these guys were willing to give him another chance.
Mackenzie Davis plays a human-machine hybrid character who teams up with Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor to save a young woman played by Natalia Reyes who seems to be the key to the future. She is being hunted down by a crazy advanced new Terminator played by Gabriel Luna. Then at some point in the movie Arnold Schwarzenegger will factor in to the story to help out. It’s been said that his character in the film is going to be “very different” from what we already know about the character.
