Edward Norton Takes a Jab at Marvel Over THE INCREDIBLE HULK
It's a little hard to believe that Edward Norton was the star of Marvel's second movie that would eventually grow into what has become a 20 part, multi-billion dollar cinematic universe. So it isn't much of a surprise that Norton may regret walking away from the role of Bruce Banner after only one movie.
But now, the Academy Award nominee is saying there is a good reason he turned his back on the MCU. On the set of the Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis Hollywood Reporter senior staff writer Ryan Parker says Norton “took a shot” at Marvel during his portion of the Roast. Norton reportedly said it was hard working on the set of The Incredible Hulk because he wanted a better script from the studio.

Norton was replaced by Mark Ruffalo to play Bruce Banner/the Hulk in the MCU, beginning with the movie The Avengers. Norton has still not given a specific reason why he parted ways with Marvel, but Marvel has expressed that difficulties on set and price point played a factor in the decision to not bring Norton back.
If you want to see Norton's comments during the Comedy Central Roast, it airs on the comedy network on July 29th.
