Eerie and Unsettling Trailer for Alex Garland's Horror Film MEN Staring Jessie Buckley
A24 has released a full trailer for the upcoming horror film, Men, which comes from director Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation), and it looks like he’s made another very eerie and unsettling film. The movie is also filled with some wonderfully haunting visuals.
The tagline for the film is, “What Haunts You Will Find You.” It stars Jessie Buckley (Fargo, Wild Rose, The Lost Daughter) as a woman who embarks on a solo vacation to the English countryside following the death of her ex-husband. While there, the men in the town start acting super freakin’ creepy toward her and things get uncomfortable for her real fast.
Here’s the synopsis:
In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper (Buckley) retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to have found a place to heal. But someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears in visionary filmmaker Alex Garland's (Ex Machina, Annihilation) feverish, shape-shifting new horror film.
The film also stars No Time to Die and The Imitation Game's Rory Kinnear. Men is the first film project for Garland since his 2018 adaptation of Jeff VanderMeer's Annihilation.
Men is set to open in theaters on May 20th.
