Eerie New Trailer for Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson's Bizarre New Thriller THE LIGHTHOUSE
Keeping secrets, are ye?
This upcoming horror thriller The Lighthouse seems like it’s going to deliver quite an unsettling and strange story. The movie comes from the director of the highly acclaimed horror film The Witch, Robert Eggers, and it stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. I looks like the two end up delivering incredible performances as they descend into madness.
The film is set in 1890, and the story follows two lighthouse keepers on a remote island in Nova Scotia in the world of sea-faring myths and Dafoe plays an aging lighthouse keeper, named Old. It’s described as a “hypnotic and hallucinatory tale.”
After you watch this trailer you may be asking yourself “what” the hell this is, and the word “what” might also get stuck in your head. After all, it features the two characters repeat “What” to each other for a full minute! It’s wonderfully eerie and bizarre.
When previously talking about the script for the film, Pattinson said, “It creates a totally unique and ambitious universe and manages to somehow feel scary, suspenseful, wondrous and beautiful all at the same time.”
The Lighthouse opens in New York and LA on October 18, 2019, and it will expand into more theaters from there. Check out the trailer below.
