Elden Henson Jokes That Foggy’s Fate in DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Was Payback For Running Over Kevin Feige’s Foot
There are Spoilers in the article for Daredevil: Born Again.
Marvel fans were left reeling when Daredevil: Born Again wasted no time delivering a gut punch by killing off Foggy Nelson within the first 15 minutes.
But according to Elden Henson, the actor behind Matt Murdock’s loyal best friend, there might be an unofficial reason behind his character’s brutal exit.
A fan who met Henson recently shared his hilarious response when they mentioned how upset people were about Foggy’s fate. “He jokingly said, ‘I think it’s because I ran Kevin Feige’s foot over with my car,’” the fan shared on X.
In the series, Foggy is taken out by Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter, AKA Bullseye (Wilson Bethel), a vengeful foe from the Netflix series looking to settle old scores. The decision to kill Foggy was a shock to a lot of people, especially since both Henson and Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) weren’t initially part of the show’s original creative direction. They only joined the cast after a major behind-the-scenes overhaul.
But don’t count Foggy out just yet. According to Marvel TV boss and executive producer Brad Winderbaum, both Henson and Woll will return for Daredevil:Born Again Season 2. Exactly how that will work has yet to be seen.
Set five years after Daredevil's Netflix run, Born Again finds Matt Murdock stepping away from his vigilante life in the wake of Foggy’s death, attempting to focus on his legal career (sans Nelson & Murdock. RIP). But when Wilson Fisk rises to power as New York City’s new mayor, Matt learns that some ghosts don’t stay buried.
At least in real life, Henson is keeping a sense of humor about the whole thing. And if the Feige foot incident actually did happen? Well, that’s one way to get written out of the MCU.
