Elisabeth Moss Is Joining Taika Waititi's Upcoming Soccer Film NEXT GOAL WINS

Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) is in talks to join Taika Waititi‘s upcoming soccer dramady Next Goal Wins. She will join Michael Fassbender, who was previously cast to star in the film.

Next Goal Wins is based on the 2015 documentary that follows the true story of Dutch coach Thomas Rongen, “who attempts the nearly impossible task of turning the American Samoa soccer team from perennial losers into winners.” Fassbender is to play the coach in the film.

Fox Searchlight is producing the movie and Waititi will shoot it before he starts work on Thor: Love and Thunder. This is going to be a fun project for Waititi to take on. There's no word on who Moss will be playing, but I’m sure that she’ll be great!

Below you’ll find the trailer for the doc that the film is based on.
