Elisha Cuthbert Joins Series Adaptation of EVERY SUMMER AFTER at Prime
Elisha Cuthbert (Girl Next Door, Happy Endings) has joined the recurring cast of Prime Video’s Every Year After, the TV adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel of the same name.
Told over the course of six years and one week in Barry’s Bay – the quintessential lake town –Every Year After is described as a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever.
The series stars Sadie Soverall as Percy, Matt Cornett as Sam, Aurora Perrineau as Chantal, Abigail Cowen as Delilah, Michael Bradway as Charlie, and Joseph Chiu as Jordie. Cuthbert will play Sue Florek, Sam’s mom.
Every Summer After, which spent 14 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list, has sold 1M+ copies to date. The book gained popularity through BookTok, with #EverySummerAfter getting over 81.4M views on TikTok. One Golden Summer, released this spring, is set in the same universe as Every Summer After.
Other titles from Fortune that are standalone reads include Meet Me at the Lake and This Summer Will Be Different. She also announced that a new novel, Our Perfect Storm, will be released in May of 2026.
