Elizabeth Olsen Believes Scarlet Witch is Dead But She Hopes "To Find the Smartest Writers to Figure Out" How to Bring Her Back
As of right now, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch is presumed dead after we seemingly saw her bring a mountain down on herself after an epic battle in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
It felt like her story wasn’t finished, and it was so sad to see her end that way after suffering several of the most devastating losses in the MCU, so many of us are hoping we see a glimmer of hope for her in the series Agatha All Along, or maybe in the upcoming Vision series.
As for Olsen, she does believe her character really did parish in Doctor Strange’s sequel, but she hopes there might be a way to bring her back. In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late night host asked her if she believed Wanda was really deceased.
She responded: "I think so. I assume as much. Yeah, and there was a red light of explosive energy. I think I'm dead. I would beg to leave a window open. I had so much fun doing these movies.
“I would like to figure out how to cleverly be undead. We need to find the smartest writers to figure out how to make this all make sense. I'm open to ideas."
Kimmel went on to playfully ask the Marvel actress if she believed Scarlet Witch was more powerful than Thor. She quipped: "I think I am. I think theory has it that Wanda could beat him.
“I don't know... I've never played with the hammer, I don't think...yet. I don't know if that's happened actually. I think I could probably somehow manipulate and go inside his body to do the same thing he does."
I don’ t think we’ve seen the last of Wanda Maximoff! She is such a cool character, and I think she deserves some happiness and peace if that’s at all possible. Check out the full interview below, and keep an eye out for her in future episodes of Agatha All Along, which premiered on Disney+ this week.
