Elvis Presley is Lookin' For Trouble in New Clip From Baz Luhrmann’s ELVIS
A new clip has been released for director Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming film Elvis and it features Elvis Presley (Austin Butler) looking for trouble and breaking people’s brains with his thrusting pelvis dance moves!
"There's a lot of people saying a lot of things," Presley says into a microphone in a stadium filled with fans, "but in the end, you gotta listen to yourself." He openly damns the man with the wiggle of his pinky finger and then he starts to perform and the whole crowd loses their collective minds. This is a great scene!
The film explores “the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).”
Elvis is set to be released in theaters on June 24th, 2022. I’m pretty stoked about this movie and I can’t wait to see it!
Starring alongside Hanks and Butler, we have Helen Thomson (Top of the Lake: China Girl) as Elvis’s mother, Gladys, Richard Roxburgh (Hacksaw Ridge) as Elvis’s father, Vernon, and DeJonge (The Visit) plays Priscilla.
