Emily Blunt Joins Ryan Gosling in Director David Leitch's THE FALL GUY
Deadpool and Bullet Train director David Leitch is currently developing a film adaptation of the classic TV series The Fall Guy. Ryan Gosling is set to star in the film, and we’ve now learned that he’ll be joined by Emily Blunt, who will take on the lead female role.
There are no plot details for the film, but the original series, which ran from 1981-1986, was created by Glen A. Larson and starred Lee Majors as a Hollywood stuntman. He picks up some extra money on the side as a bounty hunter using his rough-and-tumble skills to track and capture bail jumpers, and he’s helped by his cousin, Howie, and Jody, a beautiful stunt colleague.
This is going to be a great project for everyone involved, and I’m happy to see that Blunt has come on board. I imagine she’ll be taking on the Jody character. Blunt is great, and she and Gosling are going to make an awesome team.
Universal Pictures will release The Fall Guy on March 1, 2024.
