Emma Corrin and Maika Monroe Set to Star in Fantasy Film 100 NIGHTS OF HERO
Emma Corrin (Deadpool & Wolverine) and Maika Monroe (Longlegs) are set to star in the upcoming fantasy film project 100 Nights of Hero.
This is a period fantasy film based on the graphic novel by Isabel Greenberg, and Julia Jackman is set to direct the film. The movie also stars pop star Charli XCX and Nicholas Galitzine.
100 Nights of Hero centers on a charming houseguest (Galitzine), “who arrives at a remote castle and the delicate dynamic between a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry (Monroe), and their devoted maid Hero (Corrin) is thrown into chaos.
The description of the comic offers additional details:
“In the Empire of Migdal Bavel, Cherry is married to Jerome, a wicked man who makes a diabolical wager with his friend Manfred: if Manfred can seduce Cherry in one hundred nights, he can have his castle -- and Cherry.
“But what Jerome doesn't know is that Cherry is in love with her maid Hero. The two women hatch a plan: Hero, a member of the League of Secret Story Tellers, will distract Manfred by regaling him with a mesmerizing tale each night for 100 nights, keeping him at bay. Those tales are beautifully depicted here, touching on themes of love and betrayal and loyalty and madness.’
The story is said to capture “the hearts and minds, taking them through a magical medieval world.”
Corrin and Monroe are both incredibly talented actors and I have no doubt they’ll deliver great performances in this movie.
