Emmanuelle Chriqui Cast as Lana Lang in The CW's SUPERMAN & LOIS DC Series
Emmanuelle Chriqui (The Passage, Entourage) is set to take on the role of Lana Lang in The CW’s upcoming DC series Superman & Lois. The character will be a series regular and Chriqui will star alongside Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch.
Superman & Lois revolves around the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist, played by Hoechlin and Tulloch, “as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.”
Lois is still working at The Daily Planet when Superman & Lois begins, but Clark has been laid off. Lana Lang-Cushing will be a loan officer at Smallville Bank who stayed in Smallville “when others left for something bigger and brighter. Lana reestablishes her friendship with her old friend, Clark Kent, during one of the most difficult periods in her life.”
The series is being produced by The Flash executive producer Todd Helbing, who is also writing the series. The series received a 13-episode order and will go straight into series production when TV production opens up for business again.
I’ve always enjoyed Chriqui’s work, and think she’ll make a great Lana Lang!
