Emotional Trailer for Netflix's CHADWICK BOSEMAN: PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST
Netflix has released the trailer for their upcoming special titled Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist. The special was produced as a way to pay tribute to the talented actor, who unexpectedly passed away last year at the age of 43 after his battle with colon cancer.
The trailer is quite emotional and features interviews with Boseman’s former colleagues and friends, They honor Boseman’s legacy by remembering his works and dedication to his craft as an artist.
Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist is “an intimate look at the Oscar-nominated actor’s incomparable artistry and the acting process which informed his transformative performances. Viola Davis, Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, George C. Wolfe, Branford Marsalis, Phylicia Rashad and more take us behind the scenes to explore Boseman’s extraordinary commitment to his craft.”
The special will also feature Black Panther’s Danai Gurira, Andile Nebulane, and Aakomon “AJ” Jones, the last of whom also previously worked with Boseman on Get on Up. They are joined by directors Brian Helgeland (42), Tate Taylor (Get On Up), and Reginald Hudlin (Marshall) as they celebrate Boseman.
Boseman was an incredibly talented actor and artist who left behind a wonderful legacy of films. It will be nice to get to know Boseman in a different more personal way thanks to this upcoming special.
