Endearing Trailer For Netflix's Italian Family Food Dramedy NONNAS Starring Vince Vaughn and Susan Sarandon
Netflix has released a trailer for their endearing Italian American family dramedy, Nonnas, featuring a great cast that includes Vince Vaughn as Joe, Susan Sarandon as Gia, Brenda Vaccaro as Antonella, Lorraine Bracco as Roberta, and Talia Shire as Teresa. The cast also includes Joe Manganiello, Drea de Matteo, Campbell Scott, Michael Rispoli, and Linda Cardellini.
The film is directed by Stephen Chbosky (The Four Corners of Nowhere, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Wonder, Dear Evan Hansen) from a screenplay is written by Liz Maccie, inspired by the life story of Jody Scaravella.
The film’s synopsis reads, “After the loss of his mother, Joe Scaravella (Vince Vaughn) risks everything to honor her by opening an Italian restaurant with a group of local grandmothers as the chefs.”
Vaughn said of the film, "I really enjoyed the connection of food and family [and] the idea that love and culture was passed down through food and get-togethers, and that those gifts stay with us always."
Just watching the trailer made me hungry! This looks like a really entertaining watch, and it’s coming out two days before Mother’s Day, so if you celebrate, this would probably be a fun way to do so.
Check out the trailer below, and watch Nonnas on Netflix on May 9th.
