Energetic Trailer for Luc Besson's JUNE & JOHN - "A Love Story for the Ages"

Here’s the first trailer for Luc Besson’s next film project June & John, which was first announced alomost three years ago. The movie is described as a “love story for the ages,” and it stars newcomers Matilda Price and Luke Stanton Eddy.

The film follows John, “a young man stuck in a monotonous routine, whose life is transformed when he meets June, a vibrant and fearless woman. Together, they embark on a whirlwind adventure filled with passion, risk, and self-discovery — a race against the clock (and the law) that injects color, magic, and love into their lives.”

The film was shot entirely on a phone during the pandemic, and it’s a lower-budget departure for Besson after making massive projects like La Femme Nikita, Leon and The Fifth Element.

According to the producers, it sees Besson “return to his creative roots, embracing a raw, intimate, and resourceful filmmaking process reminiscent of his early career.”

It also “captures the ingenuity and passion that defined his beginnings as a young filmmaker and channels the spirit of creativity under pressure, resulting in a visually stunning and emotionally rich experience.”
