English Dub Of RWBY: ICE QUEENDOM Premiers On September 25
The English dub of RWBY: Ice Queendom is finally arriving on September 25 on Rooster Teeth First and Crunchyroll with new episodes releasing weekly. The Japanese anime inspired by Rooster Teeth’s hit animated series RWBY has been really cool to watch and was a marked improvement in animation to the first season of RWBY. The original English cast will be back to reprise their roles including Lindsay Jones as Ruby Rose, Kara Eberle as Weiss Schnee, Arryn Zech as Blake Belladonna, Barbara Dunkelman as Yang Xiao Long, Miles Luna as Jaune Arc, Samantha Ireland as Nora Valkyrie, Jen Brown as Pyrrha Nikos, and Neath Oum as Lie Ren. We have a trailer to share with you to show off some of the voice work and I am really excited. I really like the English cast, so while getting the anime visuals of Ice Queendom is really cool, I was sad to not be able to hear the voices that I’ve been listening to for so long as a long time fan of the show.
RWBY is a world filled with horrific monsters called Grim bent on death and destruction. Humanity relies on Huntsmen and Huntresses to keep them safe, and our story focuses on 4 huntresses: Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long. The story follows the girls starting at their time training at Beacon Academy as they navigate school and the dark forces lurking in the shadows everywhere. If you haven’t watched the show before I highly recommend it, they work a lot with classic fairytales and it is really cool to see the new interpretations and to guess who each character is supposed to represent. If you start at the beginning just know that the animation does get a lot better, so it might be best if you start with Ice Queendom if you just can’t get over the early animation quality.
