Enjoy The Full Comic-Con Panel For VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN with Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy

The leads of the new (and really great looking) take on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein — titled Victor Frankenstein — took the stage at Comic-Con last week and basically just made a lot of sexual innuendos. Seriously, if you are at all homophobic, don’t watch this panel, because it is the most homoerotic event in geek history. Everything James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe said was a double entendre, and when they decided to act out one particular hold from the movie, moderator Chris Hardwick realized, “You guys just broke tumblr.”

In addition to all the homoeroticism, we learned some new things about the movie, which, as I said, looks pretty fantastic. We already knew that it tells the story from Igor’s perspective and that it focuses on the relationship between Igor and the doctor. What we didn’t know is that it is a tale of obsession, or that Frankenstein is a bit of outsider in the science community, or that they keep him crazy right up until the very end, or that it is actually pretty funny (and also horrifying). There is a Hall H reference, and an introduction that turns Young Frankenstein’s “It’s Frahnk-en-steen!” right on its head.

The trailer and the clip they showed really look like something fans of the original story will take to. It also stars Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, Mark Gatiss, and Freddie Fox. It was directed by Paul McGuigan, who also joined the panel, from a script by Max Landis. Watch the full panel below.
