Enjoy These Horror Manga Titles This October
We’re now in the month of October, which means that if you haven’t already started watching/reading/listening to spooky things, you probably will starting now. Well, I’ve got two mangas for fans to check out if you’re looking for some horror fun.
The first horror manga for you to check out is Chainsaw Man from VIZ Media. The manga series is created by Tatsuki Fujimoto and the first volume launches on October 6. Chainsaw Man focuses on Denji, a poor kid who owes a lot of money. He turns to demon hunting alongside his devil-dog Pochita. Well, he gets betrayed and Pochita fuses with him to become Chainsaw Man. Now, VIZ was kind enough to send me a copy of the first issue, and I will admit that I couldn’t finish it. I do not do well with blood and gore, and this story has a lot. That being said, the story seemed interesting. You can pre-order a copy through various retailers like Amazon and comiXology.
Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
The other horror manga I want to draw attention to is King of Eden from Yen Press. Written by Takashi Nagasaki with art by SangCheol Lee, this series is not only great for horror fans, but also features a deadly virus. Timely, no? King of Eden is available now from retailers including Amazon and comiXology.
Entire villages are going up in flames across the globe, with the same man left standing at the scene every time. Meanwhile, rumors abound of a highly contagious virus where those infected fly into a blind rage, killing anything and everything that crosses their path. As the death toll rises, agencies from nations around the world get together, looking for answers-How are these incidents connected? Who is that man? And most importantly...can the massacres be stopped before humanity is doomed?
