Enjoy This POKEMON Anime Short Film DRAGONITE AND THE POSTMAN

A couple of weeks ago it was announced that a new Pokémon anime movie would be released titled Dragonite and the Postman, and it comes from the studio behind Makoto Shinkai's Your Name, Weathering With You, and Suzume, CoMix Wave Films.

That anime short is now online for all of you to watch and enjoy. It was released just in time for Pokemon Day.

The film tells the moving story of Kamiryu to Yubinya-san, which follows Hana, “a young girl who admires a Dragonite postman. One day, she is given a letter without an addressee and sets out to find the sender with her partner Pokémon, Fuecoco.

“Upon finding that the sender is a young boy named Rio, she learns that he wrote the letter for his father's birthday, since he's currently away in the Kanto region for work. Problem is, it's already his father's birthday…”

The story will be a race against time to deliver the message. Taku Kimura, who previously helmed an episode of Star Wars: Visions, directed the short.

Unfortunately, there isn't an English dub or any English subs for the short yet, but it's definitely still worth checking it out for the beautiful animation.
