Riz Ahmed Wants to Be the Next James Bond in Fun Trailer For The Prime Video Comedy BAIT

Prime Video has released a great trailer for the comedy series Bait, starring Oscar winner Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal) as an actor hoping to snag the role of the next James Bond.

He is joined by Guz Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Sajid Hasan, Aasiya Shah, Weruche Opia, and Ritu Arya. The series is showrun by Ben Karlin and Riz Ahmed, with Ahmed producing.

Riz Ahmed also co-wrote the series with Azam Mahmood and Prashanth Venkataramanujam. Episodes were directed by Tom George and Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli).

The synopsis reads: “From Oscar and Emmy winner Riz Ahmed comes Bait, a comedy about Shah Latif, a struggling actor. His last chance to hit it big comes in the form of an audition of a lifetime.

“We follow him over the course of four wild days as his life spirals out of control and his family, ex-lover and the entire world weigh in on whether he is the right man for the job.”
