EPHK to Launch New Graphic Novel MAWRTH VALLIS This July in Martian
This July, readers will be taken on a wild journey on Mars with writer and artist EPHK’s new original graphic novel Mawrth Vallis. The graphic novel will be 128 pages of fast-paced, full-color action written in its original Martian language. We’ve got a small preview down below and it looks really cool. I’m personally getting a retro vibe in the colors and character designs.
During a skirmish with an opposing Martian faction, a fighter pilot disobeys orders to pursue a fleeing foe. Guided by her determination and curiosity, she is led into a dangerous chase through Mars's forbidden valley where she will be confronted with the red planet's darkest of secrets.
Sharing his inspiration for Mawrth Vallis, EPHK said:
[MAWRTH VALLIS is] Inspired by my new found love for the storytelling format of Mexican historietas and my never ending adoration of classic '70s European sci-fi narratives. I think anyone who's into classic sci-fi adventure but also interested in new ways to discover it, would enjoy reading MV.
Mawrth Vallis will launch from Image Comics on July 21 from local comic shops and wherever you buy your comics and on July 27 to bookstores.
