Netflix has released the first four minutes of the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated film and it’s a pretty spectacular and epic opening sequence! The scene is actually very intense and opens in a post-apocalyptic future in New York City where two members of the Ninja Turtles team are dead and the other half is in rough shape. The opening scene goes super hard and grim, and I dig it!

The world has been ravaged by Krang, and the scene features Casey Jones (Haley Joel Osment) being sent back in time to warn the Ninja Turtles of the impending invasion·of the most dangerous alien force in the galaxy. In the process, Leonardo makes a heroic final stand.

I like what I’ve seen from the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie and it hits Netflix on August 5th.
