This next chapter of the story sees Mando (Pedro Pascal) stepping into a leadership position and Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) is dealing with the disappointment of not taking back the Darksaber. Din Djarin and Grogu are off to Mandalore in hopes that he will be "forgiven for his transgressions."
When talking about Din and Grogu’s bond, Pascal said: "What I love is the idea of who's protecting who because Grogu is discovering more and more of his powers, and it's very important for Mando to nurture it and to also make sure it's harnessed in the right way."
Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon will also be back and when talking about the scale of Season 3, he said it’s "larger than ever… and it's just an expansion, in many ways, of last season. It's a season that has great ideas, great teasings, and great tips for the future."
