Eric Bana is Set To Star in a New True-Crime Anthology Series Called DIRTY JOHN

I like Eric Bana (Hulk, Troy, Munich, Star Trek) as an actor and I think he's totally underrated, so it's great to see him land a solid acting gig! He is set to star alongside Connie Britton in a new true-crime anthology series coming to Bravo called Dirty John.

The series already has a two-season order locked in. This is the first time that Bana will star in a U.S. TV series and he will take on the role of a character named John Meehan, "a handsome and romantic charmer who sweeps Debra Newell (Britton) off her feet and pulls her into his web of lies." The series will tell the true-story of how a romance with Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and manipulation."

The story was recounted in a podcast hosted by LA Times writer Christopher Goffard. There's also a documentary series in development at Oxygen Media that will tell the story. It's definitely an interesting story and if you want, you can read about it here. This is definitely going to be a great role for Bana to take on.

According to Variety, the second season of Bravo’s anthology will focus on a different case.
