ETERNALS Actor's Management Agency Indicates an ETERNALS 2 Movie Is in the Works

The Marvel movie Eternals came out last year to a less than stellar response. The film was expected to be good, with Academy Award-winning director Chloé Zhao helming the pic, and the incredible cast including Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Ma Dong-seok aka Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, with Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena, as well as the post-credits stars Patton Oswalt as Pip the Troll and Harry Styles as Eros.

The movie was visually stunning, but some felt the story and characters fell short of their potential. My family actually really liked it, but we were unfortunately in the minority. Besides a reported mix-up we reported about a few months ago in which Oswalt said a sequel was in the works that the rest of the cast said they had no knowledge of, we haven’t heard anything concrete about the future of these characters. Now we haven another tidbit that may be something, but we will have to wait and see.

Some fans reported that the management agency of Ma Dong-seok/Don Lee listed he will soon begin work on Eternals 2. "As production on the drama Hive remains unclear, Ma Dong-seok is in discussion and planning for many movies and dramas scheduled for production next year," the agency said via a translation from @UPDATESETERNALS. "Currently, Ma Dong-seok is filming Criminal City. Holy Night: Demon Hunters, Wilderness, and Criminal City 3 are about to be released, and Eternals 2 and other global projects he'll be appearing in are planned to be produced."

It seems like if anyone knows his schedule, it would be his management agency. But who knows? Maybe this is just wishful thinking on their end. Without definite confirmation one way or another, we will just have to wait and see.

What would you like to see happen with the future of Eternals? Would you like to see a new writer and director come aboard to revamp the story like Waititi did with Thor? I think that’s maybe the best option. Let us know below.
