Ethan Hawke and Maya Hawke to Star in Beatles-Centered Coming of Age Comedy REVOLVER
Actors and father/daughter duo Ethan Hawke (Reality Bites, Training Day) and Maya Hawke (Stranger Things) are teaming up to star in the fun-sounding Beatles-centered coming of age comedy Revolver. Andrew Stanton (Finding Dory, Tales from the Loop) will direct from a script by Kate Trefry (Stranger Things, Fear Street film trilogy).
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
Set in 1966, Maya Hawke will play Jane, a teen resident of Anchorage, Alaska. When the impossible happens — a flight to Japan carrying The Beatles is forced to make an unexpected stop — all hell breaks loose as the unsuspecting residents are consumed by Beatlemania. Jane devises a plan to lose her virginity to George Harrison, discovering that adventure (and romance) are actually a little closer to home than she thought.
This sounds like a fun film, and I think it will be really cool to see Ethan and Maya together in the movie. Ethan Hawke can next be seen in the Michael Almereyda film Tonight at Noon, as well as the Robert Eggers film The Northman. Maya Hawke will next appear in season 4 of Stranger Things, set to hit Netflix in 2021.
