Ethan Hawke's Horror Thriller THE BLACK PHONE Pushed To Summer 2022

Blumhouse’s upcoming supernatural horror film The Black Phone, which comes from director Scott Derrickson (Sinister, Doctor Strange), has been given a new release date. The movie was originally supposed to be released on February 4th, it will now hit theaters during the summer on June 24th.

Ethan Hawke stars in the film as a sadistic killer who abducts a shy but clever 13-year-old boy named Finney Shaw. The boy ends up being locked away in a “soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.”

The film is based on Joe Hill’s short story from his bestselling book 20th Century Ghosts, and it was also produced by Jason Blum, C. Robert Cargill and executive produced by Hill, Christopher H. Warner and Ryan Turek.

I’ve been looking forward to watching this film. We just have to wait a little longer before we can watch it.
