E.T.'s Classic Flying Bike Scene is So Weird Without John Williams' Amazing Musical Score!

One of the most awe-inspiring scenes from a film that I saw when I was a kid is that scene from Steven Spielberg's E.T. when the group of kids are trying to help E.T. escape and they end up flying through the sky on their bikes in the process. It's such an iconic moment and it explodes with emotion, especially with the help of the musical score by John Willaims. Well, now you can watch that wonderful moment without the musical score and it's so weird! The scene is completely stripped of its epicness. The scene feels empty and it has more of a comedic vibe, which kinda made me laugh. It's just additional proof of how powerful music is to the art of filmmaking and telling a story, especially when Williams' music is involved.

The flying bicycle escape from E.T. is weirdly serene without music.
