Evan Peters Wants To See a DEADPOOL and QUICKSILVER Crossover Movie

Don't get your hopes up that this will actually happen any time soon, but in a new interview with The Wrap, X-Men star Evan Peters says he has an idea for who his speedy character Quicksilver should team up with in a future film: The Merc With a Mouth himself, Deadpool.

When asked when fans can expect to see a solo Quicksilver film, Peters laughed and said:

“Oh my god, I don’t know. It would take three years to shoot, wouldn’t it? Yeah I don’t know, I would love to do that.”

The reason it would take such a long time to make a Quicksilver solo movie is because the standout slow-mo sequences from X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse (the two best scenes in each respective movie) take loads of planning and set up. (Check out a video explaining how the second-unit team shot the Apocalypse sequence right here if you haven't already.) Unprompted, Peters continued:

I'd like to see a Deadpool/Quicksilver movie. I think that'd be fun.

Setting aside the X-Men franchise's weird fascination with time and aging (the character would be somewhere in his late fifties if he met up with Deadpool in modern day), I feel like those two would actually work pretty well together in a movie. It couldn't ONLY be them, because they're both too quippy to carry an entire movie by themselves without a straight man to bounce off of, but I can easily see those two messing around together on screen and pranking squares like Colossus. Would you want to watch a Deadpool/Quicksilver movie? What do you think should happen in it if it were to ever actually happen?
