Evan Peters Will Return as Quicksilver X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX

Evan Peters won the hearts of X-Men fans in the breakout role of Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past and now The Hollywood Reporter says he will be rejoining the X-Men once again, in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Dark Phoenix is bringing back a lot of original cast members from the previous films including Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult — as well as reuniting the younger actors of Apocalypse — Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

Also coming on board the movie is Lamar Johnson, one of the stars of the BAFTA Award-winning Canadian show The Next Step. It's not clear who Johnson will play, his character is currently under wraps.

Quicksilver is not a part of the story in the comic books, but surely he was added now that he has become an audience favorite based on his appearances in the previous two X-Men movies.

X-Men vet Simon Kinberg is acting as writer/director on the movie, which is slated to open November 2, 2018. Dark Phoenix is beginning production in Montreal this week.
