Everything Announced So Far During and Around Gamescom 2019 for Bandai Namco Including LITTLE NIGHTMARES II
It’s Gamescom 2019 right now which means we’re getting a lot of information about games that everyone is excited about. Bandai Namco have made a number of announcements as part of Gamescom and just around Gamescom, so I thought I’d do my best to consolidate as much as I could into one page for everyone.
First, a new trailer was dropped for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. This trailer shows off Titan Mode which has your enemies become a lot bigger and harder to take down. The game is set to launch on Nintendo Switch, PC (via Steam), PS4, and Xbox One in 2020.
Next, we got a new trailer for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. This 3-vs-3 tag battle game lets you create teams of your favorite characters from the show to fight against each other. Who will you pick for your team? I do find it interesting how you have to wait for Saitama to arrive. That’s a pretty cool mechanic. Oh, also, Terrible Tornado, Silverfang, and Atomic Samurai were officially announced. A Hero Nobody Knows will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One soon. You can preorder your copy now.
Third, we’ve got news for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. A new trailer shows that the game will include the Cell Arc which is arguably one of the best arcs of the anime, so I’m pretty excited. In addition, some new art has been revealed for Bonyu who was a sixth member of the Ginyu Force. That’s pretty exciting by itself. In addition, it was just announced today that Trunks will be a playable character. Kakarot is currently scheduled for release in early 2020 for PC (via Steam), PS4, and Xbox One.
Code Vein is the next title I’m talking about and the first piece of news here is that a demo for the game will be available on September 3. The demo will allow you to play with the character creation tool, explore the beginning of the game, and dive into a dungeon called The Depths. Also, a new trailer dropped showcasing a new boss called the Butterfly of Delirium. The full game will release on PC (via Steam), PS4, and Xbox One on September 27. You can preorder your copy now.
Next, we will talk about Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris which got a new trailer as well. In addition, Bandai Namco is holding an Original Costume Design Contest where fans can submit costume designs to the Sword Art Online game development team for consideration to use in the game. The top three designs will be announced during Tokyo Game Show 2019 and then fans will get to vote on the designs. There will be one winner in four territories for a total of four winners and four cool costumes. Submissions are due by September 6 and then fan voting will run from September 13-27 with the winners being announced in October via Bandai’s social media channels. You can submit your designs here and find more information about the contest here. Alicization Lycoris will be available on PC (via Steam), PS4, and Xbox One at an undisclosed date, but preorders are live.
Sixth, Tokyo Ghouls:re Call to Exist got a new trailer as well. The co-op survival action game will be available on November 15 for PC (via Steam) and PS4 players.
During this time, Bandai Namco also announced Little Nightmares II. The game is being developed in partnership with Tarsier Studios and will follow Mono’s story. Six from the first game will also be in the game as Mono’s companion. Little Nightmares II will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2020.
Finally, a new trailer was released for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. This is a game that has been developed by Supermassive Games and is a mysterious horror game. Man of Medan will be available on PC (via Steam), PS4, and Xbox One on August 30.
