Everything from the Rooster Teeth Comic-Con Panel
Even though Rooster Teeth recently had their own event, RTX, they also came to San Diego Comic-Con. During their panel at Comic-Con, a few announcements were made, so here’s what we got.
First, Rooster Teeth announced their first original IP video game called Vicious Circle. The game is a “uncooperative” multiplayer game. The game looks like a wacky version of Overwatch mixed with the popular Zombie Mode in several FPS games. One player is a monster hunting the others who are gathering Nuggets. As the monster kills players, they join the monster’s side and help take down the others. Once a player collects enough Nuggets, a teleporter will start up, but only one player will be able to move on. Check out the trailer below and you’ll be able to purchase the game for $20 on Steam starting August 13.
“Vicious Circle is a new multiplayer first-person shooter set in a gritty, sci-fi comic-book universe. It’s the first original IP game from Rooster Teeth Games, the creators of the multi-platform hit RWBY: Grimm Eclipse.”
Next, a new show was announced called Arizona Circle. The show is in partnership with Funhaus. This will be a sketch comedy show and will premiere on Rooster Teeth on October 23.
“The smelly minds of Funhaus and Rooster Teeth are teaming up for a sketch comedy show that’s silly, irreverent, and flat-out morally decrepit. Each episode finds our gang of misfits trapped in a comical situation as the dips and plateaus whisk us from one outrageous sketch to the next.”
Thirdly, a brand new season of Haunter is coming to Rooster Teeth in January 2020. The show follows a group of gamers as they look for ghosts in haunted locations.
“In Haunter a group of gamers seek the paranormal at some of the world’s most haunted locales. Determined to see a ghost and have some fun, these friends will try everything to scare up a spirit, or each other. What’s just a joke and what’s an actual spook? You’ll have to watch to find out!”
To celebrate Shark Week this year, Rooster Teeth is making a special episode of Immersion that will air on Discovery on August 3 at 10 AM Eastern Time. This is the same day that the first season of gen:LOCK will be airing on Toonami.
“Rooster Teeth tackles Shark Week as the Immersion crew answers a wide range of shark-fueled questions by taking some of the most iconic shark moments from pop culture history and bringing them to real life.”
Rooster Teeth then reminded fans that Volume 7 of RWBY will premiere on November 2 with new episodes premiering every week. These episodes will be free for everyone to watch the week after they premiere.
Finally, players of the video game SMITE will notice the MOBA is gaining four new characters. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang will be joining the fray. We don’t have much information about when to expect these new characters, but we’ll keep you updated.
