EVERYTHING IS A REMIX Tackles J.J. Abrams and STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS
We've written extensively on the site about how J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens at times feels very much like a copy of George Lucas' original Star Wars (with some slight twists here and there), and we've even written about video comparisons between the two films. But I've been waiting for Everything is a Remix to weigh in on this, and their new video does not disappoint. They track a majority Abrams' career and measure the specific elements of the movie that were copied against the ones that were significantly transformed, and they talk about how the familiarity we all felt when watching the film was obviously an intentional choice on the part of the filmmakers.
