EVIL DEAD Director Fede Alvarez To Direct a Horror Film Described as THE SHINING in The White House

Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe, and The Girl in the Spider’s Web director Fede Alvarez is set to helm a new horror film for Legendary Pictures. The untitled horror film is set in Washington D.C. and is being described as having a Shining like story that takes place in The White House.

That definitely sounds like a project that I’d be into! It’s being written by Joe Epstein. Alvarez’s Bad Hombre Films production company just signed a new first-look deal with Legendary Pictures and another project that’s being developed is a reboot of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That movie will be written by Chris Thomas Devlin.

Through their Bad Hombre Films banner, Alvarez and Rodolfo Sayagues will create, develop, and produce films. The White House horror movie will be their first project. Alvarez said in a statement:

“We are looking forward to sparking a new and meaningful relationship with a powerhouse like Legendary.”

I’ve enjoyed the films that Alvarez has made and I’m looking forward to seeing how these new projects of his turn out.
