Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen Reflect on Their Favorite STAR WARS Moments in New "Memory Lane" Featurette
One of the most exciting aspects of Lucasfilm’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series was seeing Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reunite after all these years as Kenobi and Darth Vader. Unfortunately, as the series has played out it’s been quite disappointing. While there are aspects of the show that I like, I have a lot of issues with the writing and lack of common sense.
Regardless of what I think, I know that there are a lot of people out there loving every minute of it. It just could have been so much better. After every episode, I rewatch a few episodes of The Clone Wars, especially that final season, and I’m just reminded of how far superior the writing and story are. Obi-Wan Kenobi doesn’t even come close. It’s a shame.
Anyway, I’ve got a fun video here for you to watch today that features Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reuniting to share some of their favorite moments from their time together on the Star Wars franchise.
Christensen said, “I remember my first shot in the film. My first time working with you [Ewan]. Picking up the lightsaber for the first time. So many great memories, it’s hard to pick a favorite.”
McGregor shared, “I have such fond memories. It felt so good to come back to it. Before we started shooting, we did so much fight training and rehearsals.”
Christensen later brought up the iconic fight scene in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, saying that their fight was the most fun he had while shooting:.“Of course when we got to Episode III and we had our big fight against each other, that was the most fun for me. I think we both took it really seriously, too. We were having so much fun, but it was really intense and rewarding.”
