Ewan McGregor recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and while on the show he shared that he’s currently shooting Lucasfilm’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series and saying that he’s having a really good time. He also teases a scene he shot with a special someone.

“I have to say I’m having a really, really good time. It’s all still there. It feels good. There are some great scripts and great people to work with, and it’s great. I’m having a good time.

“I got to play a very special scene on May the fourth with someone very special in my life, and that’s all I can tell you about it”

He doesn’t reveal who this special someone is, but I have two guesses. It could either be Hayden Christensen, who is reprising his role as Darth Vader, or maybe it’s Liam Neeson. While his appearance is not confirmed, it would be pretty awesome to see Neeson back in the role of Qui Gon Jinn and reunite with McGreggor. But, who knows, maybe it will be someone completely different! We’ll eventually find out.

The story begins 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The series also stars Joel EdgertonBonnie PiesseMoses IngramKumail NanjianiIndira VarmaRupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr.Sung KangSimone Kessell, and Benny Safdie

Deborah Chow (Better Call Saul, American Gods, The Mandalorian) will direct the series as well as serve as showrunner, with Hossein Amini (Drive, McMafia) and Joby Harold (John Wick 3, Awake, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) writing.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Chow, McGregor, and Harold. The series will be shot using the same stagecraft technology that the filmmakers on The Mandalorian have utilized.
