Ewan McGregor to Star in Disney’s Winnie The Pooh-Inspired Film CHRISTOPHER ROBIN

Ewan McGregor is in talks to star in Disney’s Winnie the Pooh-inspired film Christopher Robin. There's no word on who he'll exactly be playing in the film but I assume he will be taking on the title role of the adult version of Christopher Robin, which is a role he would be perfect for. In my mind, he's exactly what the character might look like as an adult. He's got those bright eyes and smile that have a child-like wonder to them.

The story centers around an adult version of Christopher, the human boy from the classic A.A. Milne Winnie the Pooh series. The plot is very similar to Steven Spielberg's Hook, check it out:

Robin has grown out of the joyful imagination he had as a young boy and is now a businessman who prioritizes work over his wife and daughter. With his home life on the brink, the last thing his life needs is the return of Pooh, who needs his help in finding his friends again. Robin has to find a way to help both sides or risk losing everything he holds dear.

The project is also described as having "strong elements of magical realism as it seeks to tell an emotional journey that is combined with a heartwarming adventure."

World War Z director Marc Forster is set to direct the film from a script written by Hidden Figures scribe Allison Schroeder. The Jungle Book's Brigham Taylor is also a producing the film. This seems like a solid team of talent!

McGregor is such a talented actor and I hope everything works out and that he joins the project because he would be great in the role!
