EW's Supercut of Badass Women in Film, TV, and Music

Videos Supercut by Ben Pearson

Do you have a favorite female movie character? Chances are pretty good she makes an appearance in Entertainment Weekly's new supercut, which celebrates all kinds of kick-ass women across film, television, and music history. We've featured supercuts sort of like this one before, but this one — from editor Jonathan Keogh and DJs Faroff and Tripp — averages 100 women per minute of its run time. It highlights modern movie heroines from Katniss Everdeen and Princess Elsa and goes all the way back to Norma Desmond from Sunset Boulevard, and features about a metric ton of musicians and TV actresses along the way.

It makes sense that EW would put something like this together since they run the "Women Who Kick Ass" panel at San Diego Comic-Con every year, and it's a cool "eff you" to those studio bigwigs smoking behind closed doors who still somehow think that women don't deserve equality in Hollywood.

Frustratingly, the supercut isn't embeddable, but click here to check it out.
